I haven't been doing lot these last few weeks my hubby is in hospital and will be a few more weeks
So with visiting and doing all the other things around here, sadly my Half house has not been touched, my fingers are itchy to get back to it!
I wanted to have it all finished for the BMEA on the 20th September but doesn't look very hopeful right now! Oh well best laid plans of mice and men............
Im keeping up with you all just the same!

You asked me (ages ago, sorry) what sort of wood I use. Mostly it's kauri that I buy at our club, they have it in thin sheets of various thicknesses, specially for mini making. Also sometimes people chuck out bundles of sticks which are their offcuts, which I find very handy! The size of my furniture usually depends on the size of the sticks I find!

Oh thanks Katie, Yes I am taking care of me, I learned to read what my body needs years ago, unfortunatly hubby is a workaholic, but he will be well again! Life will change for the better, that seems to happen in life, one has to take another tack, we will get there, thank you for the best wishes

ReplyDeleteI am always interested in the timber folks use, I dont think there is any Kauri here but I use basswood and I used Balsa for the yellow bed, I don't like it as it is too soft but the bed turned out OK! Your furniture is really lovely,Im not very good in making it, I really love your shabby chic cupboard, the bed and the chairs are really so cute! you make beautiful minis!
